Visitors can explore solutions from the field of motion control through application-specific hardware and software packages provided by Bucher Automation. Using a delta robot, implementation of complex kinematics is demonstrated. A variety of software and cloud solutions offer decisive competitive advantages: The basis is JetSym, a convenient and powerful development environment for machines. ECOSPHERE® GmbH + Co. KG presents its digital integration platform and probably the smallest cartoner in the world. The platform shows how easy it is to implement an individual automation solution with the ECOmodules. The RT8 cartoning module from Epple Components, which is touted as the smallest cartoner on the market at around 1 m², is ideal for integration into packaging systems and lines. In the trade fair application, up to 25 boxes per minute are unfolded, filled with a Universal Robots UR3 and sealed.
With innovative connection technology in premium quality, EISELE GmbH supports the optimization of packaging processes. The focus is on the multiple- and multi-media couplings of the MULTILINE as optimal solutions for the packaging industry. Three technological highlights await visitors to HERMA GmbH: With the new robot-supported labeling cell 211 HC RC, non-stable and irregularly shaped products such as pens, syringes and cartridges, as well as small batch sizes can now be labeled economically automatically. With the 132M HC wrap-around labeller, HERMA will demonstrate how special film labels can be variably printed with a UV laser – just by changing the colour. And with the HERMA eco labeller, which is being presented for the first time worldwide, an economical entry into leading labeling technology is being redefined.

The flanging of injection vials is recorded with cameras from four perspectives and then evaluated in parallel using two software solutions (OCTUMISEr and OCvis). Schreyer Sondermaschinen GmbH will be presenting a new generation of horizontal flow wrappers for the frozen food sector as well as a fully operable digital twin of another packaging machine (bundle packer/container stretcher). Counteracting the shortage of skilled workers and climate change with digitization in an innovative and overall sustainable concept, something which unites all machines from Schreyer. They all share the same drive, the same operating concept and a durable, hygienic design.
Products and systems from SEW-EURODRIVE are used everywhere. Whether in the food or metalworking industry, opting for drive technology "made by SEW-EURODRIVE" means security for function and investment. For packaging machines, SEW-EURODIVE offers its StarterSET: precisely coordinated automation packages, like a model kit. The automation of a vertical flow-wrapping machine is just as much a focus at FACHPACK as the topic of CO2 reduction.
The automation specialist SMC Germany GmbH will present its broad, state-of-the-art solution portfolio for the packaging industry. Highlights include the electric drives of the EQ series in piston rod and slide versions with integrated controller. They score points with high acceleration (up to 10,000 mm/s²) and horizontal payload (up to 100 kg) as well as simple control and I/O connection. On the new modular multiple connection plate of the JSY1000-E series for valves, ejectors and pressure sensors, SMC offers a compact system solution with fieldbus connection. Visitors can also get to know the air management system, which has been supplemented by a condensation sensor with IO-Link connection.
With the LB-2-200 labeler, STAKO GmbH Maschinenbau will be showing a universal labeling machine, which is designed as a basic version for 2 sides of labeling. Optionally, round bottles and special labels can be processed. STAKO integrates all commercially available label dispensers, printers and camera systems according to customer requirements. The company also develops and produces transport systems and feeding equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical industries.
There is even more potential in the further developed successful machine type KA40 from the company. SVZ Maschinenbau GmbH. The extremely compact erecting and gluing machine for boxes and trays now achieves higher outputs and shines with fast format changeovers. SVZ also implements tailor-made solutions and a high degree of flexibility in automated end-of-line packaging with various robot systems. A packing station with a "collaborating robot" (cobot) will be shown. The robot cell can also be used for other handling tasks thanks to simple peripheral modifications.
WIPOTEC-OCS GmbH stands for high-performance, process- and customer-oriented weighing and inspection solutions. The company will be showcasing a large portfolio of machines for Track & Trace, Mark & Verify, and dynamic weighing technology for the mail and logistics industries. Load cells operate in conjunction with planar technology, the latest transport magnetic levitation system. Another new feature is the TQS machine with piezo inkjet printing technology: large-format carton printing and the simplest layout change, fully integrated and with optical inspection in one system. The Packaging Valley Germany e.V. association, founded in Schwäbisch Hall in 2007, is the cluster and spokesperson of the packaging industry. It is the result of a merger of the Packaging Valley Germany and Packaging Excellence Region Stuttgart clusters. It connects over 100 companies with numerous experts from the packaging industry. These include manufacturers of packaging systems and machines, providers of software and automation solutions, manufacturers of components, providers of services related to the packaging industry and public institutions.
