Rhein-Nadel Automation GmbH (RNA) founds FSA Zuführtechnik GmbH, a new company for the production of milled polyamide bowls

Rhein-Nadel Automation GmbH (RNA) has founded FSA Zuführtechnik GmbH in Amberg, Bavaria, which commenced operations on January 1, 2025. FSA focuses on the development and CAD/CAM-supported production of polyamide and aluminium sorting bowls for very small and small parts. The company, which consists of competent former employees of Afag GmbH in Amberg, concentrates exclusively on reproducible feeding systems.

Klaus Bott, former COO and CTO of the Afag Group as well as long-standing Managing Director of Afag GmbH in Amberg and experienced for many decades in the development and manufacture of feeding systems with milled sorting bowls, is heading the unit as Managing Director since January 1, 2025. The two Managing Directors of RNA, Christopher Pavel and Benedict Borggreve, are also members of the Management Board.

“With the know-how and many years of expertise of the former Afag employees and the possibilities of digitalization, AI and simulation from RNA, we will be able to offer high-quality and innovative feeding systems on the market,” explains Klaus Bott. “Not only can we build our feeding systems on the same tried-and-tested drive technology as before, but we now also have the option of using drives from RNA, depending on the range of parts and customer requirements. This means we can always offer the best solution for the customer,” adds Klaus Bott.

FSA is supported by digital solutions and software from RNA. With the simulation software and AI from RNA, FSA is able to map all feeding systems fully digitally and access a huge database of CAD data. This also enables FSA to search for a suitable feeding solution based on the workpiece model. Christopher Pavel, Managing Partner of the RNA Group, explains: “We have seen a real opportunity in the market to build a new company with long-standing and very experienced people and to offer our customers a real alternative to our competitor. Our goal is to use the latest technologies and innovative solutions to provide the best feeding solutions in the field of milled polyamide and aluminium bowls in the global automation industry and to offer our customers clear advantages over the competition.”

Thanks to the CAD design, all milled sorting bowls can be reproduced and fully simulated. The establishment of FSA and the associated product expansion are intended to further expand market share and drive growth in the market. “We now have a complete product range of feeding systems technology like no other on the market. By adding digital options, the feeding systems of the RNA Group and the newly founded subsidiary FSA offer customers a decisive competitive advantage,” adds Christopher Pavel.

The offices and production hall have been fully equipped since the end of last year. Sales, design and production are housed at the new site in the West industrial area in Amberg. The first feeding systems are scheduled to be delivered as early as April 2025.
