On US tariff policy: Swiss Federal Councilor Guy Parmelin visits Swiss technology firm WEY Technology Inc. in Washington
Federal Councilor Guy Parmelin traveled to Washington last week accompanied by an official delegation and the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States. The high-ranking delegation visited the technology firm WEY Technology Inc., a subsidiary of the Canton of Zurich-based WEY Group. By making this trip in person, the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs offered a strong show of support for Swiss technology companies in the US. These companies are currently operating in a challenging market environment.

Even minor changes in the regulatory framework – such as the introduction or threat of additional tariffs – can have far-reaching consequences when it comes to competitiveness.
