4JET already had a strong foothold in the semicon industry with its patented laser technologies essential for advanced packaging, glass cores and through glass vias (TGV). Following the recent acquisition of Corning Laser Technologies, the company is accelerating its foray into this vertical, adding new capabilities to dice wafers.
Naming Henri Richard as a board member representing Jolt Capital is a strong signal that 4JET wants to become a household name in the field of semiconductors manufacturing.
A highly respected and extremely active veteran of this industry, Henri Richard is based in the Silicon Valley where he runs the Japanese semiconductor consortium Rapidus’ US branch. As an operating partner with Paris-based growth deeptech investor Jolt Capital, he was also instrumental in advising two of their recently exited investments in metalenses manufacturing and chips metrology and inspection.
"We are excited to have Henri join our board and help us expand our emerging business in advanced applications such as glass core processing and the semicon backend." said Jörg Jetter, CEO of 4JET.
“The scope and capabilities of laser technologies have expanded significantly over the years to include so many innovative use cases in diverse industries. 4JET is a leader in this space and I am both honored and excited to be part of their journey going forward as a board advisor.” commented Henri Richard.
