Silver is the metal of the next few years

Historically, silver was primarily money, it was popular for jewelry and still has a firm place as an investment asset today. Then silver became an important and indispensable component of industrial applications. Today, it is mainly green applications that are devouring silver. On behalf of the Silver Institute, Precious Metals Insight investigated the relationship between the price of silver and the so-called above-ground stocks (coins, bars, silverware and jewelry). The investigation revealed that above-ground reserves are essentially unavailable for the silver market and are therefore not correlated with the silver price.

However, movements in precious metal stocks have an impact on the silver price. If gold stocks rise, the price of silver and the demand for silver investments usually rise too. Higher prices are then usually the result. Silver in processed products is usually lost. However, there are also products that contain potentially available silver. The price of silver is decisive for the allocation of products, whereby recycling also plays a certain role. Over the centuries, significantly more silver than gold has been lost, for example through discarded photographic fixing solutions. Gold is much more durable in the form of bars or jewelry, for example. The volume of finished products, i.e. industrial processing, has increased enormously since the mid-1980s – from 385 million ounces per year between 1960 and 1985 to 764 million ounces of silver between 1986 and 2023. And as silver’s triumphal march will continue, silver companies such as Endeavour Silver and Discovery Silver should also be on investors‘ radar

Endeavour Silver https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/mining-news-flash-with-meridan-mining-endeavour-silver-and-millennial-potash/ – is already a medium-sized precious metals producer and has projects in Mexico, Nevada and Chile. An estimated 4.5 to 5.2 million ounces of silver and 30,500 to 34,000 ounces of gold are to be produced in 2025.

Discovery Silver https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/discovery-silver-acquires-the-porcupine-mine-complex-from-newmont/ – owns solid silver and silver-zinc-lead projects in Mexico. The Cordero project is one of the world’s largest silver resources. The company has just acquired Newmont’s Porcupine Mine and is therefore also focusing on gold.
