As part of the collaboration between the European Center for Dispersion Technologies EZD and Nano Dimension, a groundbreaking UV-curing material for additive manufacturing has been developed: ATARU.
The joint project has been running for several years. Nano Dimension introduced the idea and EZD supported the project from the very beginning. EZD scientists supported the entire process, from material research, testing and analysis to the incorporation of additives, contributing their extensive expertise. Regular exchange was always at the forefront.
“We are delighted with the first-class equipment at EZD and the professional yet flexible collaboration, which not only drives our projects forward efficiently but also innovatively,” says Tobias Ott from Nano Dimension. He particularly appreciates the team’s spontaneous and solution-oriented approach. This is a “real benefit for our joint success.”
The result is a UV-curing material for DLP printing that impresses with its exceptional high-temperature resistance and durability. ATARU also offers excellent surface quality and an extremely low dielectric loss factor. The main advantages are its high thermal performance and durability, high impact strength, excellent surface quality and fast processing. In addition, there is a wide range of possible applications.
"Through active collaboration in the area of research and development and the use of our services, we have been able to strengthen and further advance our joint activities. The regular exchange, the active collaboration and the knowledge gained as a result bring us closer together and together we are developing the plastics industry for the future. This is worth being rewarded!" says Dr. Felipe Wolff-Fabris, Site Manager EZD.
"The cooperation with the EZD is characterized by the excellent technical framework conditions and direct access to expert knowledge, which significantly accelerates our development steps. The partnership-based cooperation and the open exchange of new ideas have ultimately played a decisive role in successfully developing our product from the idea to market maturity," says Dr. Stefan Schlisske from Nano Dimension.
The SKZ is climate protection company and a member of the Zuse Association. This is an association of independent, industry-related research institutions that pursue the goal of improving the performance and competitiveness of industry, especially SMEs, through innovation and networking.
